Happy Holidays from PALCS
As our year winds down to winter break, there is a lot of success that we should recognize here at PALCS in 2018. Our PALCS students and families have made this year one to remember and we are excited to see what 2019 has in store.
Socialization in Cyber School
The number one concern most families have when making the switch from a brick-and-mortar school to a cyber-school is socialization. When will my children get the socialization skills they need? Are there any socialization opportunities? Will my child meet new friends? These are all questions we hear fairly often.
2018-2019 First Marking Period Honor Roll
PALCS is proud to announce that our 2018-2019 school year is off to a fantastic start! We would like to thank our incredible students, families and staff for their hard work. A total of 1,246 students, or 41% of our student body, have earned an honor roll certificate, recognizing them for their devoir and commitment. These students have earned exceptional grades in the first marking period.
Giving Thanks to Our 3,000 Students!
It is already mid-November and the holiday season is quickly approaching! It has been such an amazing year for PALCS so far, and we would like to reflect on all of the reasons we have to be thankful. Our latest breaking news is that PALCS, for the first time in its 15 year history, has over 3,000 students currently enrolled students state-wide. This milestone was reached just this week, and is our largest student body ever.
Student Spotlight: Haozhou Wang
Meet Haozhou Wang, a musically inclined 10th grader at PALCS. At age 3 and a half, Haozhou fell in love with music and playing the piano. Now age 17, Haozhou is an accomplished award-winner in several international piano competitions and takes courses at The Julliard School in New York.
